Have you ever have woken up in the morning and thought, 'Man, I do NOT feel like doing my hair today'!

Perhaps you had a rough week or perhaps the mere thought of spending hours styling your hair made you want to crawl back under the covers.

Well, I understand and I've been there!

Here are a few tips that have helped me combat those "lazy days"!

1. Drench Hair in Oil!

I use this trick all the time! Before heading to bed, apply a 1/2 cup of oil to the hair. Your hair will benefit from the intense conditioning and it will force you to wash your hair the next morning. Not even a ponytail or bun can hide an oil-drenched head!

2. Get Inspired!

The night before washing, browse our Member Profiles or watch a few video tutorials! Sometimes washing and styling your hair seems like an overwhelming process but looking at photos and/or watching other people style their hair might give you a boost of inspiration and confidence.

3. Get Organized!

The night before wash day, lay out your products and tools in the bathroom or at least on a shelf near by. The next morning the task of washing and styling your hair will seem less daunting because you are organized and ready to go!

4. Take it Easy on Yourself!

If you had a particularly hard week, don't commit yourself to roller setting or any other tedious hair procedure.

The most important thing is to wash and condition your hair. If you are exhausted, stressed or super busy, check out some of the air-drying videos. These styles are super easy, super quick and can be dried under a hood dryer during the winter.

5. Be Realistic!

Set realistic expectations of yourself! If you are not a morning person, don't force yourself to get up at 6 am to do your hair. I used to do this to myself all the time and guess what, I NEVER once got up at 6 am to do my hair.

If you have more energy at night, then schedule your hair days at night. If you have more energy during the day but work a full time job, plan your hair days for Saturdays and Sundays.

Also, try to plan your hair days around times when you are inspired and motivated to focus on your hair. It will make the entire experience MUCH more enjoyable.
